Heat Treated Pallets
Our Heat Treater is an insulated room with multiple heat probes to measure the air temperature. Lumber standards set by ISPM 15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) require the temperature inside to reach a minimum of 133⁰ F (56⁰ C) for 30 minutes. We use state-of-the-art software to track the progress of each load. If a load ever fails, we will see it on the report, correct the issue, and run the pallets through again to ensure they reach the correct temperature for the correct amount of time.
Why Use Heat Treating?
- Meets Standards for International Shipping
- Decreased Moisture Content
- Increased Resistance to Pests
- Increased Durability
- Increased Dimensional Stability
- Avoids environmentally unhealthy chemical treatment
